It's interesting the kind of thoughts we have about money. Some people believe it's bad; some believe it's good. Some people believe rich people are evil while others believe being rich has nothing to do with being a good or bad person. However our interpretation of that quote differs a lot.From my experience I have discovered that what a poor man means is usually different from what a wealthy man mean.When a poor man says that he usually mean, 'Desiring to make lots of money is bad or makes you a bad person.' Is that even possible? Many people avoid the topic of getting rich because the society looks at such person with a scolding eye. They see that person as someone who is greedy and ascribe other bad images to the individual.Let's for a minute assume that some people don't like money. Now why would such a person wake up every day and go work for someone else even when he's not even passionate about his job? Does he go to work because he loves seeing his boss' face or goes there because the boss put a gun to his head? Obviously he goes to work because of the steady paycheck.
The number one fear of that many people have is running out of money! A survey carried out by Bank of America shows that Americans biggest fear is going broke in retirement. Aron Levine the head of preferred banking and investments at Bank of America, says more Americans may have to cut back on their spending today to ensure they don't run out of money in retirement.And yet that same man or woman would say 'he or she does not love money.' When there is discussion about money, such people tend to look down on people who talk about becoming rich and achieving financial independence.
